CURRENT PROJECT

Background: As part of Health Share of Oregon’s efforts focused on enhancing social-emotional services provided to young children enrolled in their CCO, they are funding the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership to conduct trainings for primary care providers on social-emotional health in young children and strategies for primary care providers to address social-emotional health in young children.

Audience for the Trainings: Primary care providers whose practices contract with Health Share of Oregon’s Health Plan Partners (e.g. Care Oregon, OHSU Health, Providence, Legacy Health PacificSource, and Kaiser Permanente).

What will be covered: The trainings aim to equip primary care providers with actionable tools and strategies to enhance their ability to identify and address social-emotional health issues in young children.

  • The agenda will include topics such as the importance of early identification, practical tips for implementing recommended approaches, and strategies for providing parental guidance and connecting families with behavioral health supports.
  • The training will feature presentations from local primary care providers and offer opportunities for participants to learn from real-world implementations. CME credit will be offered.

When will the training be offered? The trainings will be offered in-person OR through a four-part webinar series. Attendees should pick at least one of the two training options. 

Is there a cost? No, the training is offered free of charge thanks to funding from Health Share of Oregon. 

Option 1: In-Person Training on October 17th from 8:00am-12:00pm in Portland, OR

Option 2: Four-Part Online Webinar Series (Same content as In-Person Training) from 7:30-8:30 am on November 13th, November 20th, December 4th and December 11th

  • Registration is required for each webinar. Click here to access links to register & webinar agendas
  • Since the content of each call will build off the previous webinar, attendance at all four webinars is strongly recommended.
  • Webinars will be recorded.
  • Part 2 CME credits will be offered.
