This measure was largely informed by the measurement and evaluation efforts of states that have participated in the Assuring Better Child Health and Development (ABCD) initiative. Additional information about this may be accessed on OPIP’s ABCD III project page.
National Quality Forum Endorsement:
This measure of Developmental Screening in the First Three Years of life received time-limited endorsement from the National Quality Forum. It is Measure #1448.
Click here to find the full document and submission to the National Quality Forum. NQF requested that Colleen Reuland, the Measure Steward, provide additional data and studies that were deemed not feasible and not meaningful to enhancing the validity of the metric. Due to inclusion in the CHIPRA Core Measure Set, use in Oregon, and other applications that demonstrated reliability and validity, Ms. Reuland chose not to complete the overly burdensome administrative and research requirements needed to maintain certification.
