CURRENT PROJECT
From 2017-2021, OPIP worked in collaboration with the Children’s Institute, with support from the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), to support the Health Aspects of Kindergarten Readiness (HAKR) Workgroup recommendations. These recommendations proposed a four-part measurement strategy intended for adoption in the Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) Incentive Metric Set in order to galvanize improvements and transformation efforts that could be stimulated by CCOs to support kindergarten readiness.

The four-part measurement strategy includes:
- Preventive Dental Visits for Children Ages 1-5: Endorsed for adoption in 2020
- Well-Child Visits for Children Ages 3-6: Endorsed for adoption in 2020
- CCO-Level Metric Focused on Social-Emotional Health
- Follow-Up to Developmental Screening – PENDING development
OPIP has led the development and implementation of two metrics focused on social-emotional health:
- The System-Level Social Emotional Health Metric – This metric was within the CCO incentive metric set from 2022-2024.
